He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Lucas Sr. and Willie Mae Holmes Lucas; his children, Ricky Holmes (Annette), Elder, Jr. Holmes (Barbara), Teresa Luckey (Albert), Lady Kaldejia Faulk (Robert), Valencia Gadson (Frederick), Gwendolyn Wilson and Dorothy Davis; his siblings, Robert Lucas (Logretta), Willie Lucas, Joseph Lucas, Willie Mae Cocklin (Allen), Shirley Ford, Minister Jacqueline Henry (Apostle Johnny) and Patricia Webster; and his aunt Betty Bradley. He was also cherished by four sisters-in-law; sixteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins other family members and many friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home from 4:00 – 7:00 p. m., 60 Amherst Court, Sumter.
