It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Deas Jr. (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on April 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alene Rembert and Eugene Deas, Sr.; and his son Edwin A. Chambers, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Doretha V. Deas; his children, Jean Deloris Gamble (James), Vernetta Chambers (Albert), Mary Chambers, Natalie Hollomon (Tyrome II), Clinton Deas and Eugene Deas, III; his brothers, Whitt Deas (Ruth) and Charles Deas (Mary); his grandchildren, Terrence, Juanita-"Pooch" (Christopher), Lauren, Jamie, Tyrome III, Clinton, Latasha, Annette, Zyeir, Bryce and Joel; his great grandchild Lonnell, Jr. (DJ); his grandchildren, James, Jr., Ani, Samuel, David, Daniel, Alicia, Emarri and Antoine; and his siblings-in-law, Thomansina, Elevera, Maxine, Joyce, Frances, Robert, Tyrone and Wayne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
