He was predeceased by: his father Theodore C. "T. C."; his grandparents, Jesse, Lula Pritchard Geddings, Robert and Cora Nesbitt; his brothers, Theodore "Ted" Nesbitt, Jr., Wayne Mathis and Fred "Chubby" Mathis; and his grandson Bristol Lee Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ratliff-Nesbitt of Pinewood; his former wife Beth Mims of Sumter; his daughters, Ashlie Johnson (Adam) and Lisa Blair (Shawn) of Alaska; his sisters, Emily Rae Osteen of Sumter and Audrey Clowrey of Florida; and his grandsons, Jayden, Jordan Green, Tripp, Keegan Mathis and Logan Evans. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
