He is survived by: his wife Irene Melton (Pluck); his daughters, Emma Brailsford (James) of Dalzell, Josephine McMillian of Columbia, Patricia Bracey of Sumter and Diane Gathers (Willie) of Sumter; his sister Martha Vaughn; his siblings-in-law, Ida Melton, Veronica McMillian, Ida Mae Oliver, Annie Louise McMillian, Ophelia "Gladys" McMillian, Willie Bell Melton and Johnny McMillian; and his goddaughters, Patricia Webb of Sumter and Dorothy Floyd of Sumter. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
