She was predeceased by: her husband Tommy Hopkins; her mother Alice Ardis Nichols; her children, Dueain "Buddy" Sanford and Debbie Brettelle; and her grandchildren, Thomas Cockerill and Carrie Hopkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann Cockerill of Sumter; her stepchildren, Laurie Hopkins of Winston-Salem, NC, Tommy Hopkins, Jr. and JoAnn Hopkins; and her sister Frances Beasley. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
