She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Albert Jones and Elsie Odessie Phillips Jones; and her brother Fred Jones. She is survived by: her husband James Wesley Comer; her sister Flora Brown (Roger); her nieces, Lisa Greene (Jimmy), Lori Owens (Gary), Regina Harris (William), Amy Rhoton (Dennis) and Jennifer Brown; her nephew Roger Brown; and her pet Brandy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Higher Ground Baptist Church, 163 Gene Hege Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
