She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Annie Jane Crawford of Aberdeen, NC and Benjamin Rose; her daughter LaShonda McElveen; her son-in-law Lee McElveen; her grandchildren, Desmond Mitchell and Candace Mitchell of Sumter; her godson Nathan Copeland; her siblings, Carrie Melvin of Brooklyn, NY, Ida Jackson (Eddie) of Fort Lauderdale, FLA, Larcenia Crawford of Aberdeen, NC, Cynthia McRae (Henry) of Whispering Pines, NC, Eyvonne Crawford of Southern Pines, NC, Charles Rose (Evette) of Baltimore, MD and Lester Crawford (Sylvia) of Hoffman, NC; and her aunt Modestine VanBuren of Sumter. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In accord with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home of her daughter, 3340 Lauderdale Lane, Sumter.
