He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert LeRoy and Lillie Marie Scott Powell. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Parnell Powell; his children, Lynn Cain (Bill) of Florence, Dennis Powell (Tracy) of Sumter and Penny Atkinson (Bill) of Sumter; and his siblings, Gladys Atkinson of Sumter and Coley Powell. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
