It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer J. Smith (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on November 5, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Smith and Ada R. Gore Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Henkel (Louis) of Vine Grove, KY and Dianne Brazell (Eddie) of Chapin, SC; his grandchildren, Andrew Henkel of Chicago, Captain Haley Spearman, Steven Henkel of Eau Claire, Swain Spearman and Anthony Spearman, Jr. of Macon, Georgia; and his stepgrandchildren, Gabriel Henkel (Lauren) of Aldie, Tanner Brazell of Chapin, Carly Burns (Charles) of Spartanburg, Evan Tucker of Chapin and Isabella Brazell of Chapin.
