He is survived by: his wife Debbie Geddings Sims; his children, Jason Sims of Sumter and Stephanie McCormick (Richard) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Landon Sims, Aaron Sims, Caleb Sims, Jacob Birchfield, Lane Sims, Matthew McCormick and Tayleigh McCormick; and his brothers, Craig Pemberton of New York and P. J. Pemberton of New York.
