It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Atkinson Goodson (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Lynchburg, South Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Fairey Goodson; and her parents, Kirven Dunnie Atkinson and Annie Eliza Hopkins Atkinson. She is survived by: her children, Donald L. Goodson (Ebbie) of Manning and Fairey Ann Hatfield (Bryan) of Sumter; her grandchildren, Cindy Sharp Scheele (Larry), Rea Sharp Maynard (Kevin), Alison Sharp Watford (Kevin), Bobbie Sharp Owens (Jake), Brittany Hatfield Ferrell, Bryan Hatfield III, Maggie Goodson Richardson (Townes) and Louis Hayes Goodson (Bailey); her great grandchildren, Harold Turner (Katie), Caroline Turner Cromer (Justin), Sharp Turner, Rebecca Glancy, Kaitlind Glancy Ellrich (Erik), Sam Watford, Lindy Watford, Madeline Owens, Hall Owens, Morgan Ferrell, Jaxon Ferrell and Rhett Hatfield; her great great grandchildren, Sutton Turner, Scout Turner, Easton Ellrich and Royce Ellrich; her siblings, Adville Atkinson, Thelma Pack, Sallie Horner and Carolyn Jeffcoat; her daughter Linda Goodson Sharp Hance; and her siblings, Woodrow Atkinson, Kirven Atkinson, Pete Atkinson, Hoyt Atkinson, Charles Atkinson and Louise Atkinson Hoover.
The family request that all attendees wear face coverings and practice social distancing at the service, and visits to the home.
