It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Dubose of Sumter, South Carolina, born in Kingstree, South Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Eugene Young and Fannie Orie Bingham Young; and her siblings, Therion Young, L. J. Young, William Young, Betty Scott, Frances Strickland and Joann Welch.
She is survived by: her children, Neil DuBose (Julie) of Sumter, Taylor McNeil DuBose (Amy) of Asheville, Amanda DuBose Goude of Summerville, SC and Rebekah Joyce Kontowsky (Paul) of Wellford, SC; her siblings, LaVaughn Young (Sarah) of Charleston, Donnie Floyd (Jimmy) of Barrineau and Judy McAllister (Mickey) of Beaufort; her grandchildren, Hunter Goude, Rachel Goude, Zachary Kontowsky, Christian Kontowsky, Hayley DuBose, Walker DuBose and Evelyn DuBose; and her great grandchildren, Nevaya, Aries, Ava and Sawyer.
