She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucian DeLeon and Dorothy Darlene Lahmann Hutchinson; and her daughter Brenda Darlene Barfield. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brittany, B. J. Hodges of Florida and Selena Garcia June (George) of Sumter; and her sisters, Jackie Hughes of Sumter and Ann Danford of Johns Island, SC. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
