He is survived by: his parents, Larry Dean Gainey, Sr. and Faye Huggins Gainey; his sons, Jay T. Gainey (Shelby) of Sumter and Dakota C. Gainey (Abbie) of Sumter; his granddaughter Evelynne Gainey; and his siblings, Leslie Coursey (Todd) of Sumter and Michael Gainey (Yvonne) of Sumter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
