It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lauretta Sims (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on November 22, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jack L. "Pete" Sims, Sr.; her parents, William J. Tucker and Rotha Mae Richburg Tucker; and her siblings, Dan Richburg, James Luther Tucker, Tommy Tucker, Shirley Bryant and Geraldine Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Lena White (Randall) of Dalzell, Tod Sims (Carol) of Sumter and J. Legree Sims, Jr. (Cynthia) of Sumter; her grandchildren, Hunter Sims (Becky), Ridge Sims, Summer Sims, Justin White and Heather Stamey (Gerald); her great grandchildren, Rhett Stamey and Oliver Schafer; her siblings, Emma Jean Joyner (Jerry) of Alcolu and Mike Tucker (Laura) of Sumter; and her stepbrother Walter Tucker of Dalzell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
