She was predeceased by: her parents, Andy Calvin "Bill" Taylor and Nell Brinkley Taylor Fortner; her husband John Burns Bailey; and her brothers, Larry Fortner and Wade Fortner.
She is survived by: her stepfather Arnold Fortner; her children, Nancy Cook (David) of Sumter, Penny Cook (Patrick) of Dayton, OH, John Erskine Bailey (Amanda) of Sumter, David Bailey (Lisa) of Sumter and Darryl Bailey (Kathryn) of Sumter; and her sister Virginia Rewis of Sumter. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her best friend.
