She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Madison Shorter; and her siblings, Ben, Inez, Elzina, Rosmond, Bentley, Ruby and Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Ardenne Tucker, Joseph Bright Jr., Quinette Anderson, Ira Shorter, Tonia Branch and Ronell Shorter; her grandson Korey Shorter; and her siblings, Lorraine, Evonne, Dallas and Elmer. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Northwestern Christian Ministries (2190 Peach Orchard Rd, Sumter, SC 29154).
