He was predeceased by: his parents, Cole and Daisy of Washington; his sister-in-law Pastor Shirley Holliday; his wife Geneva Gass of Washington; his daughter Gwendolyn Diaz; his grandchildren, Morgan of Washington, Caleb of Washington and Elijul of Washington; his great grandchild Davon Prioleau; and his siblings, Lillian of Washington, Betty Lou Burch, Cole Jr. of Washington, Isaac of Washington and Albert of Washington.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles (Shelia) of Sumter, SC, Eddie (Lori) of Washington, Michael (Gloria) of Columbia, SC and Matthew (Tamara) of Raleigh, NC; his granddaughter Calandra Witherspoon (Henry) of Columbia, SC; his sisters, Ruth Jackson of Sumter, SC, Naomi Rush of Sumter, SC, Francis Mack of Sumter, SC and Theodosha of Sumter, SC; his siblings-in-law, Jessie Mae Frierson, Leon Gass, Jimmy Lee Wells, Leroy Wells, Oliver Wells and Andrew Wells of Los Angeles, CA; and his aunt Eva Mae Shivers of Sumter, SC. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
