It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois Houghtling of Sumter, South Carolina, born in Friendship, New York, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick McGuire Houghtling; her parents, Gerald Hopkins and Marion Hamilton Hopkins; and her siblings, Hoppy Hopkins, Roger Hopkins and Phoebe Thoden.
She is survived by: her children, Royce Houghtling of Ohio, Ronald Houghtling of Sumter and Lisa Wicks of Sumter; her sisters, Betty Hart of Florida and Prudence Gleason of Virginia; her granddaughter Tammy Boland (Erin) of Sumter; and her great grandchildren, Brittany (Eric), Darby (Blake), Alison (Dylan), Erin, Jr., Holly and Joseph. She is also survived by four great great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, a graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu flowers, donations may be made to Bullock Funeral Home in the name of Lois Houghtling.
