Mary Capers Spann Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2020, at the age of 65, Mary Capers Spann (Sumter, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Capers and Epsie Stukes Capers; her children, Stacey Spann and Eric Spann; and her siblings, Rosetta Rowe and Robert Capers.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Lee Spann; her mother-in-law Luphyllis Spann (Samuel) of Sumter; her siblings, Anna Dudley of Decatur, GA, Betty Capers of Sumter, Willie Capers (Rosa) of Pinewood, James Caper and John Capers of Sumter; and her uncle Esau McCleod of White Plains. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 565 South Sumter Street, Sumter.
