It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melinda Parrott (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Maybell Floyd Stone and Bobby O. Stone of Sumter; her son Joseph Parrott; and her sister Tammy Windham. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Parrott of Sumter; her daughters, Linda "Punkie" Parrott Brotherton (Paul) and Kim Stone of Sumter; her brothers, Bobby Wayne Stone of Columbia and Jerry Stone (Kim) of Sumter; and her grandsons, Joseph "Boo" Parrott and Matthew Brotherton of Sumter. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
