It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Cox (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon W. Cox and Jean Summerlin Cox. He is survived by: his wife Ginger Brown Cox; his daughters, Amy Cox Watford (Trent) of Columbia and Kimberly Cox McCorvey (Willis) of Graniteville; his grandchildren, Jane Harper Watford, Margaret Summerlin Watford, Katherine Summerlin McCorvey and Michael Taylor McCorvey; his brothers, Gordon W. Cox, Jr. (Debbie) of Columbus, NC, Gerald Cox (Linda) of Sumter, Gregory Cox of Sumter, Mark Cox (Robin) of Sumter and Miles Cox (Julie) of Ridgeway; and his brother-in-law Danny Brown (Tammy) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
