It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Frierson (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskel Frierson and Josephine Brunson Frierson. He is survived by: his wife Jessie Mae Wells; his children, Sharwanda L. Wells, Joenetta L. Frierson and Michael J. Frierson; his siblings, Willene Wilkerson, Dorothy Howard, Charlie Frierson of Sumter and McKever Frierson of Sumter; his aunts, Mamie Frierson of Washington, District of Columbia and Elizabeth McFadden of Sumter; and his cousin Marvin L. Kingwood of Hempstead. He is also survived by cousins, relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
In accordance with the COVID -19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 5 Wen-Le Court, Sumter.
