She was predeceased by: her husband William V. Gardner; her parents, Clifton J. Brown and Dora Yates Brown; and her siblings, Lora Jordan, Herbert Brown, Edward Brown and Doris Caldwell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Mixon Springston (Gary) of Batesburg and Phyllis Mixon Jewell (Winston) of Sumter; her grandchildren, Kelsey Springston, Bradley Springston, Tanner Springston, Cameron Young (Whitney) and Lindsey Young Ward (Dylan); her great grandchild Mallory Ward; and her brothers, Cliff Brown (Marion), J. B. Brown, Dane Brown (Ruth) and J. W. Brown (Judy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
