It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred McElveen (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Bethune, South Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Loyd Russell McElveen; her parents, Jessie Daniel Munn and Cassie Roberts Munn; and her daughter Kathy Lurene McElveen. She is survived by: her children, Janice McElveen Holmes (Ken) of Harrisburg, Loyd McElveen, Jr. (Denise) of Sanford, Sharon McElveen of Winston-Salem and Amy McElveen of Greensboro; and her sisters, Oveita Huggins (Raymond) of Sumter and Geraldine Bradham of Sumter. She is also survived by loving grandsons, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.
