It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Lee Jett Drayton (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on December 15, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Zak Brown Williams and Carola Jett; and her spouse Bennie Drayton, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Emma of Elizabeth, NJ, Linda of Sumter, Belinda of Sumter, Evonn of Sumter, Barbara Ann of Sumter, Renee of Sumter, Sandra of Sumter and Karida of Sumter; her stepdaughter Janie McKnight (Bo) of Fayetteville, NC; her siblings, Bertha Robinson (Wilford) of Sumter, Lula Mae Davis (Calvin) of Roselle Park, NJ, Pat Williams, Annette Williams of Columbia, Linda Pearson (Brett) of Sumter, Ruby Williams of Paterson, NJ, Helen McDuffie (Herbert) of Columbia, Billie Jett of South Hampton, NJ and Willie Jett of Sumter; and her sister-in-law Costella Jett of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 719 North Main Street, Sumter.
