He was predeceased by : his mother Henrietta Small Baker. He is survived by : his father Sam Baker, Jr.; his wife Beverly Pringle Baker; his children, Nathaniel Baker, Jr., Michael Lewis Baker (Kyra), Melvin Ray Baker (Tabitha) and Jennifer Lynette Baker; his grandson Michael Lewis Baker, Jr.; and his siblings, Beulah Baker Green, Loretta Baker Johnson, Moses Baker (Clara), Albertus Baker (Deloris) and John Ray Baker (Edna Mae). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
