He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Burns Gaymon (Silas) and Elijah Walters. He is survived by: his children, Loretta G. Black (Randolph) of Sumter, SC, Ernestine Gaymon of Sumter, SC, Alvin L. Gaymon (Imani) of Atlanta Georgia, Randolph Gaymon of Columbia, SC, Mary Lou Strudwick and Porter Gaymon, Jr.; his grandchildren, Tyrone Strudwick, Porter Strudwick (Lottie), Laura Strudwick Lewis (Michael), Frank Strudwick (Lisa), Aaliyah Goodman (Thaddious), Tauheedah Griffin (Yusef), Quincy L. Black (Tesha), Terverius Black (Shalena), Tevishiah Dinkins-Lucas (Jimmy), Antonio Richardson (Datra), Adrian Gaymon, Aaron Gaymon, Jasmine Gaymon, Keosha Wilson and Rashad Wilson; and his sister-in-law Daisy P. Gaymon. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
