In loving memory of Professor Joshua Adejare Olayiwola Oyekan (Sumter, South Carolina), who departed this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Professor Joshua Adejare Olayiwola leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Omobola Oyekan; his children, James Oyekan, Arinade, Emmanuel Adeyemo, Julius, Emem Oyekan, Elizabeth Yemi and Ademola Aderoju; and his grandchildren, Wale, Nike Adeyemo, Damisi, Tobi, Oreofe Aderoju, Hashem, Jeremy and Joshua Oyekan. He is also survived by five siblings and a host of cherished relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O. E. Ruben Chapel. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
