He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Lorine "Smitty" Smith and Dorothy Tune Smith; and his sister Camilla Antoniel. He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Gainey Smith; his children, Eric Stubbs of Sumter, Freddie Smith of Sumter and Charlotte Hamilton (John) of Sumter; his brother Al Smith, Jr. of Kettering, OH; and his grandchildren, Addison Smith, Emma Stubbs, Andrew Hamilton, Kinley Smith and Reagan Smith.
