He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Eugene Reed and Lila Mae Hughes Reed; his son Rodney Joseph Reed; and his brother Michael David Reed. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Renee Reed of North Charleston and Michael Raymond Reed of Sumter; his stepdaughter Daphne Trimnal; and his grandchildren, Mackenzie Reed Lyons, Austin Paul Lyons, Dallas Reed and Elliott Reed.
