He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmers O'Neal McCathern and Sarah Louise McCoy McCathern. He is survived by: his wife Nadine Brunson McCathern; and his daughters, Vicki M. Barwick (Johnny), Patti M. Welch (Steve), Donna M. Twine (Smokey), Sheri M. McDowell (Scott) and Nancy M. Ferriell (Mark). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home.
