We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2021, at the age of 99, Ruth Hoyt of Sumter, South Carolina, born in Covington, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Col. Robert F. Hoyt, Sr.; her parents, John F. Thurman and Anna Belle Pleasant Thurman; and her son Dr. Richard Allen Hoyt. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Robert Franklin Hoyt, Jr. (Brenda) and Linda Hoyt Williams (John); her grandchildren, Courtney Thurman Riese, Branston Wagner Williams, Robert Franklin Hoyt, III, Jessica Hoyt Gibson and Allison Brooke Hoyt; her great grandchildren, Owen Matthew Riese, Sarah Katherine Williams, Hannah Ruth Williams, Blair Victoria Gibson and Cassidy Elizabeth Gibson; and her sister Esther Hunter (Elva).
