He was predeceased by: his parents, Jervey Brown and Adaline Nelson Brown. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn W. Brown; his son Monte Samuel Brown (Kathy); his grandsons, Kingston Tyler and Mason Adams Brown; his brothers, Ernest Brown of Sumter and James Brown of Bronx; and his aunt Amy N. Wright of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
