She was predeceased by: her parents, Betsy Ann Ramsey and Sam Ramsey; her sons, James Lewis Jr. and Jerry Lewis; her siblings, Sam "Nogga", David Eugene, William Earl, Benjamin, Maggie Hardy and Diane Lightly; and her grandson Orin Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Lewis (Shirley), Ella McKnight (Ronnie) and Shiffer Lynn Fullard (James); and her sisters, Rosa Ann White of Detroit, Rosa Lee Dennis (Robert) and Juliette Lou Diggs of Sumter, S. C.. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, a host of great grands, nieces and nephews.
