She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard McKibbin "Kib" Davis and Madgie Ardis Davis; her former husband William L. "Bill" Wheeler, Jr.; and her siblings, Addie Oliver, Flossie Thigpen, Mary Bartlette, Mable Anderson and Richard M. Davis.
She is survived by: her husband William J. Mitchum, Sr.; her children, Beverly Newman (Paul), Robert L. Wheeler and Billy Wheeler (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Paul, Allison, Tabitha, Rebekah, Lacy, Bill and Cheyanne; and her great grandchildren, Kib, John, Brodie, Blandyn, Trevor, Taylor Grace, Kyle, Kinsley, Kolton, Keels, Kipton, Kenleigh, Kelly and Bo.
