She was predeceased by : her husband David Edward Pierce. She is survived by : her sister Marion Sprague; her children, Leigh (Leah) of Peachtree City, GA and Samantha of Taylors, SC.; and her grandchildren, Cameron, Landon, Aston and Chelsea.

She was an avid knitter who spent hours knitting scarves and shawls which she donated to homeless shelters and churches.
