He was predeceased by: his parents, James Culpepper and Alma Copeland Ivy; his wife Elizabeth Conyers Ivy; and his brothers, James, Marion, John, William and Kenneth Ivy.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Tillman "Ike" Locklair (Linda) and Laura Jean Gillette (Gary). He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Observing COVID 19, the family will speak to those attending the service at the cemetery.
