He is survived by: his wife Dot Looper Buchanan; his children, Donald Joe "Joey" Buchanan, Jr. (Jordan), Shannon Boykin (Tripp) and Sherri Posada (Diego); his stepson Scott Vaughn (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Rylie, Carter, Bradley, Jack, Oliver, Jasmine and Austin; his stepgrandsons, Caleb and Wil; and his siblings, Jewell Holquest, Georgia Hooper, Tracy Yelton, Samantha Yelton and Curtis Yelton.
