He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy R. Childs and Frances Ford Childs; and his brother Kenneth Childs. He is survived by: his children, Roger Childs (Robin), Sam Childs (Traci), Jeff Childs (Sarah) and Amanda Childs; his sister Joy McNeilly (Carey); his grandchildren, Reagan Lewis, Logan Lewis, Spencer Childs and Taylor Childs; and his great grandchild Madison Childs.
Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
