She was predeceased by : her husband Elbert Hartwell Hicks, Sr.; her parents, Robert Coke Moore and Clara Elizabeth Lewis Moore; and her siblings, Leland Moore, Robert Moore, Paul Moore and Janis Brown.

She is survived by : her children, Elbert H. Hicks, Jr. (Maree) of Turbeville, Susan K. Hicks of Turbeville, Jackie H. Watts (Charlton) of Turbeville and Carol H. Newell (Yancey) of Knightdale, NC; her grandchildren, Trey Watts (Mary) of Turbeville, W. Jackson Watts (Mckensie) of Pevely, MO, Matthew Hicks of Turbeville, Jesse Hicks (Emily) of Lyman, Caroline Chandler of Raleigh and Elizabeth Hicks of Turbeville; her great grandchildren, Sadie Watts of Clara Watts, J. C, Eleanor Watts, Asher Hicks and Wesley Hicks; and her siblings, Louise Kennedy of Turbeville, Gloria Frenz of Sumter and Lance Moore (Jaye) of Sumter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
