She was predeceased by : her husband George of Washington; her parents, Morris McKanic and Johnnie Willie Hampton; her son Franklin Tyrone Abernathy; and her siblings, Randolph Hampton, Wayne McKanick and Sarah Hampton.
She is survived by : her children, George Nathaniel Hampton (Cheryl Lynn) of Jacksonville, FL, Duvance Hampton of Union, SC, Bruce Wesley Hampton and Elaine Hampton Rhodes of Union, SC; and her brother Edward McKanick. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
