He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta Rains Redd; his parents, Lonnie Redd and Nellie Abney Redd; his sister Evelyn R. McGahee; and his brothers-in-law, Herbert Watkins and Scott.
He is survived by: his sons, Stanley Redd (Phyllis), Richard Redd (Sharon), Andrew "Andy" Redd (Roseanne) and Ken Redd (Suzanne); his siblings, Juanita R. Watkins, Dorothy R. Scott, Geraldine R. McDaniel (Sonny), Lucille R. Enloe (Harold), Barbara R. Togneri (Mike) and Wilbur "Buddy" Redd; his brother-in-law McGahee; and his grandsons, Derrick, Kyle, Stuart, Stephen, Josh, Mitchell and Cody. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
