He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Anne "JoAnne" Ellerbe Boone; his parents, John Boone and Mary O'Donnell Boone; his former wife Joan Francis Yesenofski Boone; and his stepson Michael Merrick Hiott.
He is survived by: his former wife Jo Anne; his children, Michael Boone (Kathy) of Kernesville, WV, Brian Boone (John Parler) of Charleston, Kevin Boone of Baltimore, MD and Donna Boone (Mack Stoner) of Coco Beach, FL.; his grandchildren, Christina Boone-Shivers (Brian) and David Boone (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Gage, Vanessa, Harper and Everleigh; his stepdaughters, Josephine Anne Overman (Robert) of Lake Jackson, TX and Mary Sue Spacey (Eugene) of Wadmalaw Island; and his stepgranddaughters, Michelle, Monica and Megan.
