He was predeceased by : his parents, Massey Atkins and Louise Fisher Atkins of Tryon, NC.; his brother Ike Dean Atkins; and his close friend Debbie Christiansen. He is survived by : his children, Massey Atkins and Kristy Atkins; and his siblings, Bonnie Brashears, Cleo Fowler, Ginger Hartung and Michael Atkins. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
