He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Freeman, Sr. and Lucy Marjorie Smith Herring; and his brother Russell Herring. He is survived by : his wife Judy Norwood Herring; his children, Robert Brian Herring of North Dakota and Melissa Marie Ford (George) of Nichols, SC; his siblings, Rebecca Marjorie Glickman (Jim) of Lexington and Ralph Herring of Columbia; and his grandsons, Brandon Simmons, Colin Simmons and Jackson Ford.
