He is survived by: his wife Judy Norwood Herring; his children, Robert Brian Herring of North Dakota and Melissa Marie Ford (George) of Nichols, SC; his siblings, Rebecca Marjorie Glickman (Jim) of Lexington and Ralph Herring of Columbia; and his grandsons, Brandon Simmons, Colin Simmons and Jackson Ford.
