He was predeceased by : his parents, Curtis Woodward and Minnie Wood Keenan; his wife Nettie Ruth Kitchings Woodward; his daughters, Marlene Hallman and Teresa Coffey; and his brothers, Ben Edward Woodward, Julian Woodward, Marvin Keenan, Melvin Keenan, M. D. Keenan and Gene Ray Keenan.

He is survived by : his children, James Lewis Woodward of Clearwater, Ricky Woodward (Helen) of Burnettown, Joyce Rutter of Windsor, Lynda McGregor (Gary), Jerry Bryant (Wanda) of Aiken, Patsy Connell of Charleston and Sandra Evans of Vidalia, GA; his siblings, Harold Woodward of Windsor, Margaret Odom, Magalene Widener, Peggy Hicks and Mary Lee Opalewski; and his grandchildren, Jamey Woodward, Richie Woodward, Ronnie Woodward, Reggie Woodward, Rebecca Richardson, Scott McGregor, Mylinda "Mindy" Brown, Ginny Harris, Regina Cochran, Robbie Ready, Kyle Legette, Keith Legette (Autumn), Erik Connell, Jamie Ricker, David Speissegger, James Coffey, Josh Bryant, Cory Bryant and Levi Bryant. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
