He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion Story and Helen Nichols Story. He is survived by : his spouse Price Story; his children, Joshua Jonathan Story of Hendersonville, NC and Amy Lebo (Franklin) of Berea, OH; his sisters, Sheri Story Raiford of Marietta, GA and Linda Story; his granddaughter Elora Eloise Lebo; and his great-nephew Joseph R. Story.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that memorials be made to Mountain Bowlers c/o David Chapman 9 Clairmont Drive, Flat Rock, NC 29731.
