He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Worthy and Louis Guyton Worthy; and his brothers, Bobby, Charles and Wendall.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Bishop Worthy; and his brother Harry Worthy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pacolet Mills Baptist Church.
