She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Gerth and Doris Gerth (Darby); her husband Elroy; her son Dennis; her father-in-law Paul; and her siblings, Aldis Gerth, Norman Gerth, Fred Gerth, Jearl Ferguson and Nadine Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Johnson (Jane) of Lake City and Gordon Johnson (Karen) of Custer, SD; her daughter-in-law Dixie Johnson of Goodwin, SD; and her grandchildren, Tami Johnson, Jeremy Johnson (Linda), Andrew Johnson (Ally), Sean Grefe (Jill), Donnie Drager, Nadine Richter, Scott Johnson (Crystal) and Sarah Swanson (Jayson). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
